Officially released recordings

Frank Zappa released 24 tracks recorded during this tour, on 5 different albums. These tracks are taken from 10 different locations (one still unknown) and 12 gigs.
Later, the Zappa Family Trust released in a 2CDs album the complete Buffalo Oct. 25 show (26 tracks), one more song was released for download only as part of The Frank Zappa AAAFNRAA Birthday Bundle compilation.

• 4 tracks were put together from 2 different shows of this tour.
• 1 track (Easy Meat) was put together also using an extract from a show of the 1st 1980 Usa tour. Note that this track also contains a very little excerpt from the Royce Hall, UCLA, Sept. 18, 1975 orchestral performance and a snippet of the leather conversation. According to Tinsel-Town Rebellion liner notes there are no over-dubs in the part of the song coming from this tour, as there are no over-dubs on the other songs from this tour released in that album.
• 3 tracks have been more or less heavily over dubbed.
• 1 song (The Blue Light - Galoot Up-Date) has been released in two very different versions.

• 5 tracks are guitar solos extracted from "regular" songs.
• 1 track (Now You See It - Now You Don't) is a opening guitar solo, probably originated from King Kong.
• 2 tracks are raps. See The Panty Collection in the trivia and statistics section.
• 2 tracks are instrumental improvisations from particular performances featuring in the background the sex tape sometime used during The Torture Never Stops.
• The Jazz Discharge Party Hats comes from a particular performance of The Torture Never Stops.

Zappa being a great "scissor master" you can be sure that many of his officially released live recordings, even if don't contain over-dubs, are heavily edited, sometimes from different performances, sometimes even from different tours and bands.
