Fantastic find - real or not it's jolly catchy and really, really makes one yearn for and wonder just what's keeping Dance Me This away for so long...

Well.
I can't argue the finer points of Zappa composition or relative pitch with the awesome people on this site. I do, however, like this piece and hear certain similarities with FZ's synclavier releases. There are parts, too, which remind me of Steve Vai's version of "Bangkok" (especially from around 0:43 - 1:07 & 2:18 - 2:38).
Overall, though, it feels more like an early face without the eyebrows. Mr. Potato Head with only a nose, perhaps. An early experiment, in other words.
By and large it feels Franky to me. It just doesn't feel finished.
I sure do appreciate the cool discussions youse guys gets into around here!

It's definitely Zappa-influenced, but there's no way it's Frank. If you listen to the sonic palette of Jazz From Hell and Civ III, and even Resolver + Brutality, then listen to this, it's just totally different. This is electronic music, but it probably wasn't created on a Synclavier. It sounds like a much more traditional synthesizer. _________________ Is it alright if I shut my suitcase off?

Im torn between both arguments. On one side, it feels like FZ, just an unfinished piece. On the other, it doesnt sound like his construction at all...
Until we have proof in stone, Im going with an unfinished FZ piece.

On the "is it or isn't it" front, I have no idea, but it's worth noting in passing that "Basement Music #1" doesn't sound too much like Frank either...
