And here is volume #11 and info text:

Frank Zappa GSW Project Vol. 11 1974 (T-1488)

This is Volume 11 in a very large collection of Frank Zappa spoken word releases. It's called the GSW Project. GSW stands for Gigantic Spoken Word. There will be some music in there but there won't be any live concerts in the GSW Project. They consist of radio interviews and journalist reporter type personal interviews. During the radio interviews sometimes music was played as background or added before the broadcast in between questions and answers. Sometimes FZ acts as D.J., plays records from his collection and talks to the radio audience.
But the main focus of this series is FZ interviews which to me is as interesting as his music.

Don't alter the sound of this recording. The T releases are not to be used as a source for anyones so called remastering projects. If you want to do something find a better source recording and work from that. Don't just take what I have done and screw with it.

For Trade or Give Away only - Do not Sell - Do not encode as MP3 or any other format which degrades the quality of the recording.

ENJOY!

I don't want anyone to get the idea that this was my project or that I helped in any way with putting it together. All that credit goes to T____ i'm simply seeding this so others can enjoy it too.Your all welcome though when thanking me for seeding this.T___ is an op in my hub and has contributed some great releases and this was one project of his that I enjoy immensely.

First of all, much thanks to honyak45 for the whole GSW series! You're keeping us all very busy!

I just realized that this show is on the tracker under a different date:

1974 11 21 WSTM-FM FZ as DJ 159.35 (teasea) http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=3756

The GSW version sounds a whole lot better. But the weird thing is, the songs are in a different order, and the WSTM rebroadcast has a couple chunks of material that aren't in this version, namely:

16 Stinkfoot - FZ
17 Going Down To Tijuana - Andre Williams
18 Station ID
19 Lullaby - Igor Stravinsky
20 Dimples - John Lee Hooker
21 Sleeping in a Jar, Our Bizarre Relationship, The Uncle Meat Variations - MOI
22 The Air - MOI
23 Project X, Cruising for Burgers - MOI
24 Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones
25 Aint Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore - The Rascals

and:

37 Song of the Big Guns - Kurt Weill
38 Black Dog - Led Zepplin

And yet, just to complicate things, the GSW version seems to have one song that's not in the WSTM rebroadcast:

disc two
19. I'm Your Back Door Man (The Howlin' Wolf)

I wonder why the show got chopped up that way?

I'm not sure about that but i'll try to find out.It could be that he appeared on the station on both dates and used similar formats for the two shows.I don't know but i'm sure with a little research we can come up with the answer.

I asked T___ about the discrepancies and he said:

<T> I don't know - I've had mine for a long time and it was probably from the original broadcast. It's possible that whoever taped mine missed some of the songs. I didn't take any out.
