Yup! No samples were close, we have to thank Zappateers as who would know if not for the samples forum!!
My collector friend Pat, who supplied us with many Michigan shows, and more to come BTW. He had a same source tape, but 5th or 6th gen.
Pat also recorded the ZPZ that was on the Trader's Den. He has lot's of gems from the Detroit area that are plain unknown to most collectors. Another of my projects converting a bunch of artists from him. Miles, Corea, King Crimson etc. I'm working with Milesian to post the Miles on Dime.. Frank and Miles both were big band leaders who had a knack for picking artists.
Like Hancock, Corea, McLaughlin, Stern, Scofield. Extremely impressive group, one must admit even more then Zappa alumni. And I can name a dozen more well known musicians from the Miles camp..
