Thank you, Yojimbo! Can't wait to give it a listen. Yeah, splitting the section would be senseful already.

My fault, corrected now. Actually the idea of splitting up this section makes more & more sense Smile

i don't download many boots but this looks interesting. thanks!

Well, this isn't a "liberated boot", but an unreleased album. Since there's been - and will continue to be - many outtakes coming up, I'm hoping this forum will be split into two some time.

yeah having two sections will help with the confusion. i just use the word boot since it's not a recording of a live show...

whether or not something is a recording of a live show is actually irrelevant in calling it a boot. There are bootlegs that are recordings of exclusively just one live show. For example Fire. And then there are bootlegs made out of unreleased material presented in some form (on the radio) or otherwise leaked. For example Crush All Boxes. What makes something a boot is the form of the object you're holding in your hands, not the content of it. So if you have a released record that you purchased somewhere, which you then digitize using your high-end turntable with that special cartridge and stylus that can best capture this type vinyl, etc, this is what you call a liberated boot. What you capture digitally in the process is:

http://lukpac.org/~handmade/patio/bootlegs/counterfeits.html#wartsandall1

But if you have tapes, whatever generation copy of the set of tapes that were eventually used in the making of the bootleg Warts and All, then it's a different artifact we're talking about. Here the quality of what you hear is measured against some possible master copy of this material; whereas the quality of the bootleg is assessed in relation to what the ideal LP with this material (excellent condition of the vinyl + optimal playback device) would sound like (least crackling, uniqueness of your turntable, etc).
