Alright gang...the "1"s have it!! Consider it done Smile

Where we're at now...looks like I have severely underestimated how many copies the book would sell, so I'm trying to get it all together in a way where everyone will get their books in a timely manner. Good news is that printing is going well, and just about on schedule so we should have it out by the end of March.

In the meanwhile...here's a few new pictures. The front cover and two pages from the Lumpy Gravy section. Let me know what you all think OK?

Thanks as always!!_-Scott

Really nice job, Scott!
Just one question: what working stage are the other 2 volumes? Did you already compile them or are they only just outlined...? Just to have an idea of the overall schedule of this huge work. I'm really looking forward to it [too].
Thanks again Very Happy

Thanks guys...I was hoping you'd like it of course Smile

As to the schedule marcomat...that's a good question!! At this point I'm thinking about dividing the remaining books into eras. If you think about it, there is probably more live recordings available from the F&E/vaudville era of the band than the original MOI, so that section of the book (if I confine it to just that "era") would get bigger while the discography portion of Vol. 2 would be smaller.

So considering that I'm thinking that Vol. 2 should be availble by years' end if I get the whip cracking here soon!!

The only problem is this: after F&E, what is the natural dividing point for the next era? After 1974? After Bongo Fury? After the Spring '76 tour? The mind boggles Smile

i organized my CD's into eras thusly:

1960's (up through 1969) - the Original Mothers of Invention
1970-1972 - Hot Rats, The Wazoos, Flo & Eddie
1973 - 1974 - The Roxy & Elsewhere Bands
1975 - Spring 1976 - Bongo Fury and The Last Mothers
Fall 1976 - 1980 - The Super Groups
1981 - 1982 - The Vai Tours
1984 - The 20th Anniversary
1988 - The Final Tour
