Revised FZShows entry:

29-Nov 1980, Uptown Theater, Chicago, IL

Late show:
101 min, Aud, A-
130 min, Aud, B+/B
a.k.a 28-Nov, late show. The better sounding recording starts in Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up.
Black Napkins, Panty Rap, Tell Me You Love Me, Cosmik Debris, Keep It Greasey, Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up, The Blue Light, Tinseltown Rebellion, Pick Me I'm Clean, Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me?, Mudd Club, The Meek Shall Inherit nothing, Dumb All Over, I Ain't Got No Heart, The Torture Never Stops/Heavy Duty Judy (incl Royal March From Aida, Light Cavalry Overture), Broken Hearts Are For Assholes, I'm So Cute, Andy (incl Light Cavalry Overture), Joe's Garage, Dancin' Fool, Bobby Brown, Ms Pinky, The Illinois Enema Bandit

Lineage info source A (101 min, A- version):

*****Analog Master RB*****

about 18th row main floor right center
Cassettes: Maxell UD XLI C-90's
DECK: Technics RS-646DS
MICS: Sony ECM-33F Mics sitting on front row ledge
Dolby On for recording.

Played back on identical machine.
Dolby off for playback!
Using Chord Company cables from Naim...
Played through the Naim Audio NAC-52 pre-amp
to the Teac CDR-2000 Standalone.
Mastered to Taiyo Yuden gold satin 74-ZY CDR's
PC drive.....Plextor UltraPlex40max CDR-ROM SCSI W/adaptec 2930
EAC (1.8X ripping speed or slower on all my uploads)>FLAC

Yojimbo: FLAC->WAV->SoundForge (level adjustments, fixing a few channel drop-outs by mono conversion, patching in fills, re-tracking)->FLAC Frontend

Fills from source B (130 min, B+/B version), lineage: Aud cassette, unknown gen->HD->SoundForge (speed correction, level adjustments, tracking)

The sound on these two sources are very different, and so the patching didn't turn out as smooth as one would wish. Because of this, I chose not to fill the smaller gaps that occur in Torture Never Stops (beginning of Tommy's solo), Heavy Duty Judy, Ms. Pinky and FZ's preamble to the encores; these patches would be too distracting. One of the fill segments, at Blue Light/Tinseltown Rebellion, wasn't technically missing on source A, but the levels were so low that it seemed like a good idea to replace it.

Huge thanks go to analog414 for his original seed of the master: http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=7599

Excellent "J" as I understand this, and perhaps to help others as well, would it be fair to say that if you've already DLoaded analog's version you would ONLY need to DLoad tracks 1~10, perhaps even 11 for correct blending.

If this is correct it will save an awful lot of bandwidth for everyone.

Either way as always

Thankyou
                    thank you
                    and but of course
                                        thank you

That would be handy, but I don't think it's possible, since the levels were adjusted ? (see lineage from Yojimbo)

Ingmar is right - the levels on analog414's version were low, so I boosted them a bit to match my tape. Didn't think about the bandwidth aspect. You could go with just tracks 1-10, but then you would have a volume dip as you go into #11.
