Frank Zappa
29-Nov 1970, The Coliseum, London, England

Late show: 111 min, Aud, B/B-
w/ Stephen Stills (*)
Little House I Used To Live In, Mud Shark, Holiday In Berlin, Cruising For Burgers, Easy Meat, Penis Dimension, Theme from the Patty Duke show, Sanzini Bros, The Air, What Will This Morning Bring Me This Evening?, What Kind Of Girl Do You Think We Are?, Bwana Dik, Latex Solar Beef, Daddy Daddy Daddy, Do You Like My New Car? (incl. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes), Happy Together*, Who Are The Brain Police?*, Who Are The Brain Police/jam* (incl. Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya, ???), What Will This Evening Bring Me This Morning?* (incl. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, ???), The Sanzini Brothers

This source: B- (compared to the globual version I rate as C+/C)
Length n/a, not transferred yet but INCOMPLETE! Crying or Very sad Unknown gen, traded with AP, the original tapes he got from somebody, not a copy, so don't blame him. Both cassettes have the early/mid eighties looking style I think. I also noticed an unusual split between the tapes.

Two other versions in C quality are here as well which I'll compare later this week...but hopefully a complete B/B- will show up.

Samples:

Side A ~45min
-Little House I Used To Live In
-Holiday In Berlin
-Easy Meat
-end of side A

Side B2
-non-FZ stuff: empty Mad

Side C ~30min, means it has the end, ~10 min, of what usually is on side B.
-(end of) 1st Brain Police
-2nd Brain Police Jam pt1 (no dropout)
-2nd Brain Police Jam pt2 (fade-out/-in)
-2nd Brain Police Jam pt3
-The Sanzini Brothers (cut)

Side D ~2min
-(overlap, again the complete) The Sanzini Brothers (end of the show)
-non-FZ stuff: press conference of a NY or Chicago telephone company Confused

Lineage:
AUD > ? > 2 cassettes TDK D90 / D60 > Denon DRM-540 (azimuth adjusted) > Edirol UA-3D > Cool Edit Pro (capture) > Flac Frontend encoding

Definitely sounding clearer than the other version. Too bad half of the show is missing here ...

Little House and Holiday need to be speeded up a little,
all other samples sound good.

Little House (sample): +40cts
Holday in Berlin (sample): +20cts

Agreed. Very frustrating. Perhaps best to see if any other sources show up?

Bump.

Once the Copenhagen & Amsterdam '68 shows are decided on we should re-visit this one.

Better incomplete than nothing...
I need a new audio interface/soundcard and have an eye on the Roland UA 55. Does anyone has a better suggestion in the 200EUR range?

I use a Tascam US-122L audio/midi interface. Plugs in with a USB cable. You do need to purchase. RCA to 1/4 inch patch cables. The unit is meant for a guitar but works very well with cassette decks and records at 24 bit/96Khz. They may have better models now (had it for a couple years now), but this one works well, and is probably in your price range.
