Ok, this is exactly the same lineage VHS tape as cosmikd's, same flaws, same artifacts. IMO it's one Gen lower and in it's original NTSC format. If it isn't a gen lower then the VHS is likely to have had the same source for cosmikd's conversion to PAL seeded here:

Main difference:
The red cast is not on this version - As Obdewel_X says, this is only really a minor upgrade, but noticeable on larger screens and in side by side comparison.

Yeah one gen, maybe no gen difference, but the color saturation looks much better, it's a go for me!
I have a question. Once in awhile I buy off the German Amazon site, and they offer this! Or some version. I sometimes order PAL DVD's from there, but it's a crap shoot as I cannot read German. The fact the same web page template as the American counterpart is used, I can figure out "shopping cart" and "checkout" etc.
What's the deal with that version? Is it still there? Is it worth buying? Any info appreciated!!

Just to add a comment here - this version is NOT a huge upgrade; however on a large screen the difference is quite noticable. In the spirit of this site, one always wants the best version available - right?

Someone tell me is this correct:

If I download this, rip just the "not for broadcast" part of the room 101 DVD, and I own the Dub Room Special, then I will have all the available sections of this show except for the blinking color effects. Right? And the quality of the 101 disc isn't THAT much different than this right? Then I can get rid of the red-cast version from cosmikd and get rid of the complete room 101 disc and not really lose anything. Correct?

Wow, despite what you're saying I think it's a pretty decent upgrade. The color saturation looks much, much better and seeing them side by side makes me notice just how annoying that red tint was. Plus I get it in NTSC which for me is a bonus. Thanks a lot!
