This is the full length version of the Over The Edge radio show from San Francisco, CA. The show was done by members of Negativland and is basically a surreal cutup of Zappaland. The show is approximately 5 hours long. I cut it up into 6 segements. It was originally broadcast in March of 95 and is offcially called Zapped! But the cassette's I have which were purchased from Negativland say, "They Saved Zappa's Moustache" on them. We have full approval of Negativland to seed this show to the Zappateers. Please enoy!

From the Negativland website:

This densely dual-injected mix is a sonic assault on the early life, times, and music of Frank Zappa. Frank talks, others talk about Frank, and lots and lots of familiar and unfamiliar Zappa music jousts with itself for 5 hours. Beginning with a '63 appearance on Steve Allen's TV show in which a young and unknown Zappa gets Steve, his band, and his engineer to play real concrete music while Frank solos on bicycle, through a joint interview with John and Yoko preceding their Fillmore East jam together, this infomusic layer cake is thrown back into Frank's late face according to his own principles. From Doo-Wop infatuation, to scary hair and the 20th Century's greatest mustache, to gutter subjects, intellectual sneers, and serial material, Zappa was one of America's most distinctive Pop Flirt composers. This is either just what you're looking for or "That is crap."

This was transfered from cassette on a NAD cassette deck though a Yamaha O2R console into Nuendo via a Pulsar card at 44.1khz 24 bit. The files were then edited to make one continuous show with no overlaps or gaps. The show was then recut into 6 segments and 16bit 44.1 files were made from that. These flac's were created from those 16 bit files. If you string all the wav's together you will be able to listen to the whole show without interruption

Yeah, that's why I also made a 5 hour mp3 of it so I could fit it on one cd. It's 450 megs. I could have made it smaller but I wanted to make the quality as good as I could without going over 600 megs. The final mp3 is at 192 megs. any higher put it over the one cd limit. But making it almost broke my computer
