Yeah, they weren't edits so much as they were omissions(except for the last track). All I had to do was put them back in and renumber.

I've got a FZ as DJ from 11-21-74 KMET coming up next. No edits. Wink

Oh yeah. Can someone ID track 01? Is it from a Garrick recording?

Very cool, I thought I listened to this, but damn if I have no record of this. To get something this early is really special. I must be mistaking another Tom Donahue piece. Tom has a history of good shows. Somewhat of a legend. So thanks not only for Zappa but for the Tom Donahue also. Sorry about the rants, just ignore me. I tend to do that. God knows why?
I have a few of these dj things too, will get to them down the road, not the more common ones either. A few shows are not common at all, will concentrate on them when the time comes.
Yesterday I transferred Zoot Allures unreleased double LP, most of it is released. the first disc is all released. Same music, in this case I don't see a need for it. It's all released stuff, all you would have to do is sample the songs from the releases and you would have a better version. All songs do not segue to each other on first disc, so you could if you wanted to, make an exact copy from released material Quality is at best B. The 2nd LP has at least one unreleased song, but all songs flow together, here I'm not sure what to do. here I am bitching about editing, and I have my own dilemma going on, on how to handle this. First I'm sending a copy to Charles U. Who is doing research on this LP, I think even writing a book about Zappa, so I'm going to let him make positive ID's of the material before I offer anything. So will be a bit. I will probably offer the 2nd disc complete with released material as it creates a flow as Zappa intended. Editing it will disturb this. Also the flow is unique. and was the first way Zappa intended to release this material. So I think important to keep whole. If it turns out all is released, I will not offer. But I think we have one or two gems in there....Though I don't trust my memory on what was released and what was not. The songs I think are unreleased could be b-sides and such, like Ancient Armaments etc. So i'll see what Charles says about it and go from there. The so called unreleased can be heard on the 76 Japan tour, sounds like live material from this time, though could be studio, it's all miced together, live and studio on this veersion. Some songs might have longer intros, just have to wait and see what Charles says.
A great discovery here, kinda like the LA double, which is much better quality, it has been up here, that gem comes from Mr. Brown again who got it from AD. I have a copy of that right from Tom, so 2nd gen. AD>TB>Drew I have to compare it to the version you guys have one day.
This Zoot double is poor quality, so don't expect much, but always nice to get unreleased material.
