A little concoction for you completists (you! yes, you!)
The September '75—March '76 band live in Switzerland
TDK-cheesy

Jon Naurin says:

13-Mar 1976, Palasport Mezzovico, Lugano, Switzerland
135 min, Aud, B+/B-
Parts are heavily distorted, but the rest sounds quite fine.
Intro, Stinkfoot, Dirty Love, Filthy Habits, How Could I Be Such A Fool?, I Ain't Got No Heart, I'm Not Satisfied, Black Napkins, Advance Romance, Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me?, The Illinois Enema Bandit, Chunga's Revenge (incl. Song For Pinky), Zoot Allures, I'm The Slime, San Ber'dino

I got this show from S. It comes from a first-generation tape, that's all I know about the lineage. I ripped the CDs with iTunes and converted the files to flac with xACT. Jon is right: this is often distorted. And yet this is an upgrade, at least for me: my horrible mp3 rip is worse. But don't get too excited; distortion, hiss, drop-outs, booming bass, this is really for completists. No wonder this was performed in Switzerland: this show looked like a piece of Swiss cheese (pardon the pun). I removed silence on 4 or 5 tunes and slightly retracked the other tunes. By the way, this is the last show of this tour. You'll hear a completely crazy Chunga's Revenge
JN says 135 min, almost 2 hours here: 1 hour 59 min 10 sec.

The rocking teenage combo:
FZ - guitar, vocals
Napoleon Murphy Brock - tenor sax, lead vocals
Andre Lewis - keyboards
Roy Ralph Moleman Guacamole Guadalupe Hidalgo Estrada - bass
Terry Bozzio - drums

According to iTunes:

01 Intro {4:55}
02 Stinkfoot {10:51}
03 Dirty Love {2:42}
04 Filthy Habits {10:32}
05 How Could I Be Such A Fool? {4:19}
06 I Ain't Got No Heart {2:49}
07 I'm Not satisfied {2:14}
08 Black Napkins {12:59}
09 Advance Romance {13:45}
10 Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me? {3:22}
11 The Illinois Enema Bandit {9:55}
12 Chunga's Revenge [incl. Song For Pinky] {18:15}
13 Zoot Allures {13:28}
14 I'm The Slime {2:59}
15 San Ber'dino {6:05}

I'm assuming it's GCT's recording that's posted here, and it's much better than the other version I've heard. Of course it's possible that there are other sources I haven't heard.

I have a first gen of this version, and grabbed the show at least two other times, and GCT recording is the best. I never found anything better either.
One day I probably will do this again. Just to have one with known lineage. Appreciate the show though, I'm grabbing it, as no telling how long it will be, maybe years. So thanks much! Very cool!

A friend of mine here told me this is the same as my copy, a good transfer, no tweeks, so no need for me to redo this. Maybe fills can be added, don't know yet..

Some people just want raw versions, no fills and such. I myself want a definitive version. With so many concerts around, I really don't want two versions. Unless it's so close, and we have that case in Columbus 88, I will be upping source B of that one soon. In this case the other version is so poor, no you don't want it. But we may be able to use as fills if needed. It shows all sources are of value. I do like the fills, it just seems to make sense to me to have a complete record. I want to preserve the show, not the source, I guess a difference of opinion with some.
I can see collecting the source for the source sake with say somebody like Hendrix. So few shows exist, every note played live is pretty much known. Not the case with Zappa, six months of Zappa playing at the Garrick, and what do we have? A little, not much! Why oh why were these not recorded? Maybe, just maybe some rabid fan getting older, but still hoarding the recordings will explode onto the scene, we can still hope! Ha! I just thought about the only live Hendrix not recorded is when he played with Zappa! Both times, no record!!
Zappa on Swingtime, live TV, no record, now footage of MC5 from this show exists, why not Zappa?
Also listening to the DVD The Big Eight, in the extras, they mention an interview with Zappa on CKLW. Another I don't think anybody has, have to check with the CKLW/AM radio air check collectors, maybe just maybe they have it.
