wow! I'm really curious... especially for the Floyd numbers : Shine On and Dogs...
So far, the best Floyd approach (without being another backing-band for Roger Waters) was the Blue Floyd with Allen Woody (for a long time before youtube, I thought that Woody Allen (yeah, the cineast, leaved her clarinet to play Floyd cover...) - yeah.

I'm discovering the new anniversary box set of King Crimson "In The Court Of..."...
Too bad that the alternate album is not a real alternate album.
I'm always been so impressed by Mike Giles drumming (it reminds me somehow something between Moonie and Nick Mason). Too bad that I have never found it such incredible drumming on other albums features Michael Giles...

The use of melottron and harmonies reminds me - which I believe is precursor (1967 vs 1969) - "Night In White Satin" and other Moody Blues number. The use of vocal harmonies, mellotron (was it a mellotron ?), flute...
reminds me a lot the atmosphere of the epic "Epitaph".

Procol Harum is rock-prog epic too... "A Salty Dog" being one of my favorite ever song... with this dark-haunting-Lennonish-Dakota piano...
