Another one from our friend glasnostrd19. No idea yet how it compares to what we have...

continuing my holiday weekend tribute to great artists we've lost but not forgotten
I've wanted to get this one up for awhile.
no good reason why it wasn't sooner, but here it is.
Frankly, it's about time to get this out.
this show was 10 days before the Ritz, NYC FM broadcast show.
the 1980 Boston late show was recently posted, including (sort of) the 1st live performance of "you are what you is" (the song)
here they are touring the album, and the batteries held out through both shows this time
(different taper and deck than the 1980 one posted previously, neither one is balrog's source, afaik.)
samples are in comments. hope it's frankly a nice holiday for you. ian

23. Love Of My Life (SBD unpatched) - cut at 1:38, flawed and hissy portion thereafter

this is a 1st gen. audience tape source of the full (almost) 2 shows from this night in Boston.
it is not the same audience source mentioned in the other posting, and might be new to circulation.
it was made from the back of the building, but with a good recorder (Sony D-5)

do not sell this reording.
share freely, losslessly and gaplessly.

notes:
this recording was made from the back of the arena.
the sound in this place was not very good and it is
not an up close recording, but it is quite listenable
and all vocals and instruments can be heard
neither the master (at the time this copy was made,
probably about 2-3 years after the show) or the copy
has been played alot before or since this copy was made.
this is a mono recording, and doesn't have any major issues,
only that this is no place for a concert,
probably some sort of arena type building.

Zomby Woof appears to be missing. I wonder if this is a different recording?

I renember hearing a tape of this night a while back and thinking Zomby Woof might have been from a different show, maybe from 1982?

Same tape flips/cuts in the early show and the first one in the late show so likely the same recording. (Although there seems to be a discrepancy with the second cut: Goblin Girl/Black page Vs Nig Biz)

Our seeds are some of the oldest on the tracker (Nov and Dec 2005) so it's likely they'd benefit from a spiff-up at least.... (and get Zomby Woof sorted)

That Zomby Woof in our old 1981 11 07 Early Boston Ma 119.15 aud (CA-av) seed
seems to have been included from the 1982 05 15 Rotterdam NL show. Same FZ solo.

Tape flips/cuts in the early show are different between glasnostdr19 and our tracker versions.
tf cuts in COTL are located around different spots in FZ's solo,
and Yo Mama in AV's version is almost complete.
So that means that in the long run we should be having both sources up here in FZ Shows, "mutually" patched to near completeness,
and Zomby Woof in the av version removed, of course.

Thanks flambay, I knew we could rely on you to come up with the most accurate information Smile

PS: FZ Shows will also need 'Zomby' removed
