Well, this is something I've always wanted to hear: "The Nancy and Mary Music" is great. Too bad "Giraffe" seems to have not been performed, unless it is "The 23rd Mondellos", but I strongly dobut it.

cheers

Me too. Even if they're not proeminent on official releases, we hall all that batch of perfect soundboard recordings of the late 70' Fillmore shows.

What I want is the May 1970 shows!! Pretty pretty pleaaaaase...

EDIT: that setlist though...

I agree that we have some great sounding recordings of the F.&E. era (for those who like that era) and it would have been nice to have the May shows...but...there is nothing from July 1970 (apart from Valbonne) and so I'm curious to hear this one...(I know, any reason is a good reason...) Wink

Good news. Keep em coming. I'm gonna get an extra one for the hotel room.

I'd love to hear Giraffe in decent quality.

During the recent "who the fxxk is Frank Zappa" webcast, I asked Joe if a recording of "Giraffe" existed in the vault and he said "there is, and we'll leave it at that" then laughed, so who knows? Maybe that was him being tight lipped about this forthcoming release??

Whether or not you think Flo & Eddie & Jeff are underrepresented, no performances by them of either Justine or any portion of the Orange County Lumber Truck medley are in circulation. (Except Jeff doing OCLT in 1974 without F&E, of course.)

I'm happy the series is continuing, and that they aren't sequential like Neil Young's "Performance Series", so we could be surprised by any show from any year (at anytime....). I wonder if they intend to reissue all of the posthumous FZ releases?
