Nice! Thanks JWB! You do good work ! So Revised Music And Regyptian Strut, follow this on the Acetate?
With GP on the other side possibly?
Hmmm.... Idea I'll have to burn a disc for myself, and sorta recreate the original for private listening. cooler

The track order is listed on the LP label included in this torrent.

Wow! Great to have a new Duke piano solo from this era! In the studio, no less!

Has it already been conjectured as to why Zappa decided to make this track (like his bowl of corn flakes) so foreshortened?

Just editing the album for time?

Thank you for this little gem.

I thought that was a lettuce....

I didn't get your reference so I looked it up. I'd never heard of Little Gem lettuce. I wonder if it tastes "200 Years Old"? Laughing

this is such a fantastic share! thank you so much RJ and JWB !!!!

I wonder why Zappa edit this awesome track. Perhaps as it was written before because of LP side A limitation.
That said, we also remember that Zappa often edited his tracks : the guitar solo of Willie The Pimp (a few bars) and Gumbo Variations were missing on CD (first pressing, etc... until the Universal CD came out).
On "Guitar", the epic solo of "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" was also cut and edited (the unedited version has been shared here and thank you!) so was also the "Five Five Five" piece on Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar (the unedited - acetate? of this awesome live track was also shared here- we also know that the live number was far longer (thanks to the audience recording portion).

While I understand that Zappa edited his solo for SUAPYG album since he used "editing" as a filmaker/editor could do (SUAPYG was intended as a real album, not a simple live collection of solo), I'm more intrigued about the reason why "200 Years Old" has been cut.

That said, could another "Scraping The Vault" vol.2 be possible JWB in a distant future ?
Smile dancingnaughty
this track and the other one you recently shared (+ some epic tracks such as "Five Five Five" (from acetate), the extended guitar solo of "Sharleena" and "My Guitar Will Kill Your Mama" could make an incredible and eclectic volume two compilation....
