Description:

-------------

We hope that the UMTS stream will be stable, because we are broadcasting
here again from "god's free field" - but we have no influence about the UMTS stream itself.
But that's LIVE.

-------------

Anyway, the stream WAS indead very stable for this show - just a few dropouts, glitches and clicks
here and there, but I was able to correct them.

Unimuta's recording was full of digi clicks and some big dropouts here and there.
I used his material for patching the basic source of my VLC native capture - "precisely waveformp accurate".

~ Pittylabelle

-------------

No Grand Wazoo in that set list, but they played it. According to Tim Palmieri,
he was impressed how Dweezil performed it recently.

They started at 0:30 a.m. and finished at 03:00 a.m., when Ed Mann advised they
had a curfew, and no more music could be played. Though, most of the themes were
longer than the norm.

~ Al Fresco

Lineage:

Lineage capturing live webstream (2015 07 18, Pittylabelle):
-> VLC media player: Native UMTS webstream capturing, MP3, Bit rate: 128 kbps / Sample rate: 44.1 kHz

Lineage webstream (UniMuta):
Grabbed from the Muffin Records Productions website (unknown lineage)

Lineage editing (2015 07 23, Pittylabelle):
-> Editing: Sound Forge Pro 10.0: Converted to WAV-File 16 Bit / 44.1 kHz, Track editing, patching
-> Editing: iZotope RX 4 Advanced: Glitches and clicks fixed
-> Coding: FLAC Frontend 1.7.1 (Level 8): WAV to FLAC

To preserve the sound of the original recording as well as possible:
NO fade-in or -out, NO track normalisation, NO soundfilter!

In short: There is no material left out!

----------------------------------------------

Credits:

A very special thanks to UniMuta for providing his MP3 material for patching,
and to doctorzap for his reference capture for comparing glitches, clicks and dropouts.

Some glitches can't be fixed - all reference captures have the same glitches,
so possibly the live stream was interrupted or contained defective data in general.

Hello.

Just a general question here... not about this torrent in particular, it's just a good example.... The source designation in the above title is ''SBD MC'' but it is (also) a capture of a webstream.... how does your average 'teer tell this apart from a ''normal'' SBD MC? (ie: a recording made at the actual gig rather than in someone's bedroom,) Or doesn't it matter? (I know we have the fabulous ''lossy but glossy'' disclaimer in the description but maybe we need something like ''WBS'' or even ''LWS'' like we have ''FM'', ''AUD'' etc..?)

Thank you.

FOB. Smile

thatīs it - or was it - or will be it hopefully again, and again and again and again......

fortunately Ed disturbs it less and less - isnīt it a shame that somebody with such a potential now plays less notes than the badest rock-bassist would do ? disbelief sigh

Very good point.

For my understanding it's still a MC, but simply in a so called "lossy" fomat.

The question is "lossy" compared to what?

If you record, for example, in a very high resolution like 96/24, you would
probably name the final seed, transferred to 44,1/16, also Masterclone.

Maybe I should add "(Lossy)" at the end of the torrent name?

Thanks for explaning Pl.
I suppose it's just a question of keeping up with 'new' types of sources.. (Who would've thought a few years ago that we would need a designation for a 'live webcast capture'... Very Happy )
