Samples from fzmoi69-doctorzap DR1 rip of 1st gen AUD tape
We need to get this show back up in FZ Shows.
Currently the Catalogue says:
These samples here are taken from the Shoebox seed (fzmoi69-doctorzap) (torrent file lost)
and need to be compared against the other two versions of this show,
already up in Samples for a good while:
1) The "TDK-FL" version, full version up in FZ Shows/Bad Sources
2) The "blackpage" version, probably much less complete, compared to the other two.
All versions are copies from the same master source
with the same basic tape flip cuts (C-60) in Pound For A Brown and between Disco Boy and Lather
and the C-90 tape flip cuts here in Big Leg Emma (side 1/2 tf) and in Broken Hearts Are For Assholes (side 2/3 tf)
Current FZshows entry:
1977 09 25 - Metropolitan Sports Center, Minneapolis, MN
120 min, Aud, B/B-
Intro, Peaches En Regalia, The Torture Never Stops, Tryin' To Grow A Chin, City Of Tiny Lights, A Pound For A Brown, Conehead, Flakes, Big Leg Emma, Envelopes, Disco Boy, I Promise Not To Come In Your Mouth, Wild Love, Titties 'n Beer, The Black Page, Jones Crusher, Broken Hearts Are For Assholes, Punky's Whips, Dinah-Moe Humm, Camarillo Brillo, Muffin Man, Black Napkins
This fzmoi69 version: 121.XX min, AUD 1st (?), B+/B/B-
Lineage info with Shoebox seed:
|shitty sound but
Lineage: Maxell XLII 1ST GEN > Nakamichi DR-1 > Realtek HDAudio pentium i7 > Soundforge 10 Pro Highest quality setting Izotope 64 bit src downsampling / MBIT+dither> TLH
Is this really a 1st gen copy ?
Samples seeded here:
01 Intro-Peaches - start tape - to be compared against blackpage & TDK-FL samples.
02 Pound For A Brown - around flaws and cut
IMO the flaws in PfaB in this fzmoi69 version are more prominent than in the TDK-FL copy.
03 Big Leg Emma - side 1/2 tape flip cut
Is this spot complete in the other versions ?
04 Disco Boy > Läther - cut between the two tracks
05 Broken Hearts Are For Assholes - side 2/3 tape flip cut
Does the blackpage version really miss the entire portion
between the Envelopes Drum Solo cut-out and the BHAFA cut-in (Samples 02 and 03 there) ?
06 Punky's Whips - Dinah Moe Humm
Cut in encore break.
07 Dinah Moe Humm - Camarillo Brillo
Cut in encore break #2.
08 Black Napkins - end tape
Any version available with possible filler material
for all cuts common to all versions mentioned here ?
Thanks for checking these samples and for speaking up.
