Eppelheim DE

1979 03 21

~~ from G. Demmerle Master recording ~~

Original Shoebox seed by drzurkon (CD-R copy)
speed corrected,
additionally edited (volume level & phase offset adjustments, drop out clean-ups),
& patched to completeness with material
from alternate AUD source (N.Obermanns-Drew51)

Including a monster Inca Roads solo, now known as "Occam's Razor" (included in the One Shot Deal ZFT release)
An edited version of this FZ solo can be heard in On The Bus/Toad-O-Line in Joe's Garage Vol.1

Current FZ Shows entry:
1979 03 21 - Rhein-Neckar-Halle, Eppelheim, Germany
Late show
90 min, Aud, B+
135 min, Aud, B+
5 min, SBD, A-
The shorter Aud version ends after Peaches. The SBD has only the opening solo.

Persona Non Grata, Dead Girls Of London, I Ain't Got No Heart, Brown Shoes Don't Make It, Cosmik Debris, Tryin' To Grow A Chin, City Of Tiny Lights, Dancin' Fool, Easy Meat [incl. Ask Dr. Stupid, TRF],
Jumbo Go Away, Andy, Inca Roads [incl. On The Bus a.k.a. Toad-O-Line, JG and Occam's Razor, OSD], Florentine Pogen, Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me?, Keep It Greasey, The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing,
For The Young Sophisticate, Wet T-Shirt Nite, Why Does It Hurt When I Pee?, Peaches En Regalia, Don't Eat The Yellow Snow, Nanook Rubs It, Montana, Dirty Love, Watermelon In Easter Hay

According to FZ Giglist (1979 shows page):
FZ says "Welcome to Heidelberg #2", but eyewitness says only one show.

Perhaps FZ's "Heidelberg #2" mention is referring to a first "Heidelberg" show
that took place in the same venue one year earlier (1978 02 24).

Wow, this really took a village to put out! And major corrections to all sources, phase, volume, dropouts etc. Yeah I used to try to get volume perfect during transfer, doing multiple passes. Now i rarely do more then 2 passes as digital volume adjustment I believe is actually superior to analog adjustment. Now I just try to find the best average levels, and at times that takes over an hour. Making sure no severe clipping, some low volume spots will have to be digitally corrected. Tapes can vary so much in volume it is an extremely hard task!

Thanks to the taper for sharing this master, and also to Nobbi, the author of the Zappalog. His tape collection was huge!! As large as any I have seen. I only have a few examples, and most are up on the tracker now. His version of this one is common, but not in this quality! Thanks Norbert!

I did not have this source in the early days and so much is missing from the Nobbi fill source. I look forward to at last hearing the whole show! Yes!! I have been waiting since 1981 to hear this complete. So savor these projects, this was not easy and took decades to at last make complete. Somehow surviving Y2K, the Ozone hole, and Global warming. To make it it to a tracker near you!

I hear people bitching about missing shows, hey be me! I have been waiting since 1981!!
We know what is missing. We are working on it.

I wonder where Norbert is? He has a Holy Grail that never surfaced:
The 1975 Reheasal tapes! Come on!! PM me Nobbi!! Let's get this out!!

That was quick.

BTW, the Easy Meat solo is also a great one and it's interesting how the full length version is rather different from the track on Trance Fusion where about half the solo is edited out.

We can never really thank the people who work on these things enough for all the work they put into them, making sure everything is all spiffy, and delivering these shows to us. But damn. Thank you! A lot!
