I try to follow what movies that get DVD release and today I saw this:

It's from 1968, so it could be quite possible, when you think of Zappa's interest for cheesy sci-fi flicks.

Just a thought Smile

Bill Castle was high profile and pretty popular back then, wouldn't surprise me if FZ'd saw that movie. My favorite Castle picture was The Tingler starring Vincent Price and a large rubber thing that looked like a cross between a nightcrawler and a centipede. He had armed guards "guarding" the box that contained the Tingler prop. I wonder what type of ridiculous things Castle did to promote Project X?

Damn, even low-budget flicks like this (Project X) are getting the Blu-Ray treatment? disbelief Amazing. Is it really worth the process cost to do this?

I agree! But we are the minority.
I just wonder if the interest is there to make a profit?

Thanks for the link doctorzap.

Holy shit, cartoon giants Hanna & Barbera are credited for "special sequences" for "Project X". Shocked

Another scene that was animated was a reuse of a shot from Jonny Quest where an underwater elevator terminates into a submarine on the ocean floor. The scenes were further enhanced with haze and other optical effects.

Jonny Quest! I loved that toon. Cool Okay, I guess it's time for a view. Mr. Green
