November 09, 1974
Late show

~~ BobM & RobSam 2nd & unknown gen (probably low gen) audience sources, patched with RobSam 2nd gen SBD ~~

**UPDATE: Micro-SBE's found here too. Please delete the following tracks: **
09 Idiot Bastard Son & 10 Cosmik Debris, 12 Booger Man > 15 Marty's Dance Song. Be sure to also delete in the unpatched folder 12 Booger Man (unpatched) & 15 Marty's Dance Song (unpatched). Re-download the torrent. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are pleased to present this significant upgrade to the Boston '74 late show audience tape courtesy of BobM and the well-excuted transfer of Doctorzap. BobM's 2nd gen copy of the 65 min audience tape is a major upgrade in sound quality as I'm sure you'll agree. A small cut found in previous copies in the preamble to Pygmy Twylyte is not present here. All the other cuts and missing items of previous circulating copies are the same.

Much to my excitement was the discovery in RobSam's collection of a 45 min tape side labeled Boston November 09, 1974 (late) that contained the missing section of the show from the more commonly circulating copy and previously only known from the SBD tape. Not only did it sound excellent, but also included The Idiot Bastard Son previously missing from both the audience and soundboard sources. What a stroke of luck!

As doublebassy pointed out in the samples, the chances of this missing tape side being an alternate source would seem unlikely since it covers the exact section missing from the other tape. Well, not exactly as we are still missing the end of Pygmy and the beginning of Bastard Son. Also, The newly discovered or "lost" tape side fades out during Dupree's Paradise. Luckily, we have the SBD source for the Dupree's & Marty's Dance Song fills to make a mostly complete audience copy of this late show.

Were there two tapers? Maybe. There are several conversations throughout the tape with what sounds like two different tapers comparing remaining tape, etc. Whatever the case may be, this is one hell of a show and I'm thrilled to present a more complete copy than ever before. Early show and SBD source upgrades coming soon!

Sorry everyone. Copy & paste got me again! Should be all fixed now. Commas removed from title and text/ffp file titles. Rolling Eyes

The folder title and the text/ffp files needed correcting. If you rename your folder without the comma after Boston and delete the text & ffp files, you should have a very short download to correct. All the FLAC files were titled correctly.

Let's carry on without a comma. Smile

Thanks for the seed. It has always felt a bit frustrating not having the first half of the show on the SBD most people have had since the 90s.
