One thing I found interesting is an admission there actually was going to be (and is a master for in the vault) a second LP for Just Another Band. I wonder if that will ever find a way out of the vault (maybe on a reissue of that album?).

And I guess this is the right time to mention...yes, the Pound and King Kong solos from Carnegie are included there.

There is a bit of a change in ambience a minute into the Billy The Mountain intro ("for those of you who haven't heard this piece, [switch]uh, it's about half an hour long..."). I guess for now it will be a mystery whether they had an alternate Carnegie source, used a different show or if the Carnegie mono master just had a sound change at this point.

I just have read this in the 1971 Billy the Montain Alternate Edit 29,22 Thred:

Sorry I'm somewhat late to this discussion.

I attended the October 11, 1971 Carnegie Hall concert (my first rock concert). I clearly remember that they did not play "Billy The Mountain." Since one of my friends saw the MOI in June at the Fillmore and had been talking about "Billy The Mountain" for months, I really wanted to hear the piece. I can't remember everything played in the concert (I know they did the 200 Motels Finale, Call Any Vegetable, and Tears Began To Fall), but I would certainly remember 45 minutes of BTM.

Yes, and I believe the conclusion was that he saw only the first show.

Incidentally, the otherwise unreleased Studebaker Hoch and ending in that BTM outtake is not the version on Carnegie.

Sorry, I meant as part of an official release! I should have been a little more clear.

It's a studio recording or at least a studio overdubbed recording. At times there are two or three Howies.

For the record, I did only see the first show (my first live rock concert). Now I wish I'd seen both! Awesome to hear this again after forty years.

After the ruling a couple of months ago the ZFT would need to do some serious humble pie eating for Ryko to allow that...

Regarding the ticket-numbers, anybody else think it's totally unlikely that they produced/sold 16000+ copies?

Indeed, I think they started the numbers running at about 11.000
