Always my favorite, as it was the only tour I heard Genesis on.

It's my fav Genesis album too.
Right at this moment, Hackett tours and performs this album in its entirety. Saw him in Oostende on April 22, 2019.

Nice! The perfect followup listen to Ege Bamyasi.

Side note, Suzuki's vocals lately have been reminding me of early Michael Stipe in REM. Very different bands behind them, but a simultaneously hushed while still "up front" vocalist, somewhat mumbling vaguely, in lyrics that are more suggestive than objective, unite their qualities. Not on every track, but i appreciate the similarities.

jazz calling out again:::

Miles Davis - Ascenseur pour l'échafaud (soundtrack 1958)

John Carter & Bobby Bradford Quartet ‎– Flight For Four (1969)
Think I may like their 2nd one more (Self Determination Music) but it's been a while so I guess that's coming up next.

I started a big Steve Lacy-binge around New Year, and I'm in the final stages these days.
About 700 tracks are already done (focusing on pieces he wrote... so left out the Monk-, Waldron,
Taylor- etc. tunes). Sounds like a lot, but travels, commuting and long walks are just perfect for that.
One conclusion I can make: I'm ready to sell most of the CD/LPs he recorded after 1990. Not my thing anymore.

today:

Steve Lacy: Raps (1977)

It's been his first US-LP in a while, and I remembered it being quite a stiff studio date.
Throes and Raps seem to be quite new at this time, and indeed don't really click,
but I still enjoy their vibe. Stamps and No Baby are great!

Another one that I often overlook: Shots (1977) with a japanese traditional percussionist.
The Kiss with Irene Aebi guesting is among my favorite Lacy-pieces!

My two favorite Lacy-LPs The Owl and Follies are from 1977 too - what a Lacy-year!

^^you reminded me to play the handful of FZ I've yet to get to. Fun listening to all the records again, in a short period of time. I must have about 10 hours left. PS and perusing Ulrich-The Big Note along the way^

but for now, Hiatus Kaiyote - Choose Your Weapon (2015). Guess this must be my favorite modern day record.
Just did a search to see if anything new on the horizon and found singer/force Nai Palm has been through a mastectomy
due to the nasty C. Jeez, 29 years old, I think. God Bless Her.

Shame about Nai Palm's health problems.

Kneebody does a cool version of 'By Fire' from HK's Choose Your Weapon on their new covers EP "By Fire"

Thanks for that. Made my day. It's the Joe's Garage version of the song!
