To the good Mr. Pang and his Peter Hammill bender.

For two days I have dissolved myself in, "In a Foreign Town..." and while I can, or should, ignore the, then, immediate, political import of the record, have become quote attached to the production on the album, which I feel is underrated in light of import of aforemeentioned.

What say ye, señor Pang?

And bless you from my den and mail truck.

I am most definitely pro on Hammill 80s tools, or whatever one calls it. Skin & Out of Water complete the trilogy, I guess.
Hell Yeah!

PS and of course the songs are catchy. Can't help but singalong. The Play's The Thing. Hilarious.

That's my favorite King Crimson-record. I fell in love with the vinyl version though.
I do like the processed vocals, edits and song selection of only six tracks. Just a
few weeks ago, I re-discovered what a great solo Fripp plays on Easy Money.

Ha - a while ago I discussed with a drum student of mine about Zappa and Fripp.
And my position was that FZ - needless to say - often is brilliant, but I like Fripp a little better.
To my ears all-in-all emotionally deeper, both in the aggressive and more introspective areas.

Do you like Bruford's drumming?

Absolutely! Soon after I started drumming Bruford was my first idol. I remember I brought Larks II from USA
on cassette to my drum teacher telling him "I want to sound like this". I also like Bruford in 80s + 90s
King Crimson. I stole a linear quintuple Bruford-groove from Thrak, variations of which I use to this day.
Though my Bruford fandom is pretty much limited to his work in KC (ok, I find him quite good too in Yes).

Karl Hector and The Malcouns - Non Ex Orbis (2019)

I didn't like the samples I heard but I guess I'm a (album) completist and went for it. And boy what a surprise.
Another great record. Marketed as "Krautrock/Spacejazz," but no mention of funk? Or their Afrobeat routine?
(I guess I can understand why they left out "Prog.") News to me that Christian Burchard had a musician
daughter named Marja and she is prominently featured here. I never got into Embryo, will have to check
them out a bit more.

Always my favorite, as it was the only tour I heard Genesis on.
