Hello, Scoobie! Don't know the Wishmaster movies at all.

Bit of male bonding today, watched A Clockwork Orange. Better with me then his friends, I say.
Boy, it's been a long time and shook loose plenty of childhood memories (RIP, my droog!)
Never noticed during the record store scene Tim Buckley's Lorca and a John Fahey album (too lazy to type out the title) can be seen. And of course there is a blog about it:

Went through my Beethoven collection a few days ago so the timing was right.

Ahoy! Yep, if you know the variety of trash you're about to toe dip in with Wishmaster, it's a riot.

Also saw Isle of Dogs. Loved it. A 2 hour pastiche/homage to everything I love about the Japanese cinema.

slowly getting through 2017 flicks of interest:

I, Tonya Loved it! Highly entertaining.

Phantom Thread Liked it. Maybe in another 7 years when I watch it again I will love it.

next up: the 3 billboards movie, or whatever it is called.

(also watched Cuckoo's Nest for the first time in 30 years...as a Family Flick Night (they loved it).
Takeaway: Nurse Ratched is kinda sexy!

I, Tonya was a lot of fun. I dated a figure skater for a little while. Are they all that trashy? Is that a thing?

I enjoyed The Phantom Thread and appreciated Johnny Greenwood's music, although it could have been used with a little more restraint. I liked Lynne Ramsay's You Were Never Really Here even better, and found Johnny Greenwood's film music congenial, exciting and groundbreaking. Highly recommended for fans of Psycho, Taxi Driver and dark social realism.

For all the press on Jonny for the Anderson flick, I was surprised by how many existing recordings were used.
It all worked well, I've been a bit focused on the Romantics (not the band) as of late. But I hear ya, a little more restraint.

Didn't know Jonny did the other flick. Want to see (and now hear), but decided to wait until home release. It looks upsetting,
better if I am home for that.
