I'm very happy to see this up and running. Many thanks to pbuzby and flambay for doing the work. It's the last tape I had.

I'd thought it was not of much interest because it wasn't good quality, but when I heard coops' version I saw that mine wasn't any worse. Flambay pointed out that it was worth circulating, partly to enable a complete show when coupled with coops, partly in the spirit of preserving everything that has managed to survive.

I do remember the gig. Big outdoor festival, us all in a field - I was probably about half way back. Frank took a long time to set up and I think people were getting a bit restive. The sound wasn't that sharp, even being there on the day. It occurs to me now that maybe Frank was using hired equipment because he was only in Europe for a short run of gigs at that point. Maybe that didn't help.

I can't identify what machine I recorded it on. I can picture the thing - sort of - but after Googling around everything I could find of cassette recorders from that era I couldn't find one that looked familiar.

Why don't you have one of those tape icons underneath your name?

Thank you! See if I'll be able to track down the existing wonderful b/w photos from this gig in my "archive" in time to watch while listening and if I don't I'll keep trying the following: http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=13275

You deserve to be listed as a Contributor but it is not possible to have two ranks, as far as I know. It's up to you if you'd rather be listed as a Contributor instead of Vine Coordinator.
