The rejected tracks makes this so silly that I refuse to download it! |
It's a pity because the sound is very good.

I don't know exactly, but I suppose that the musicians are not satisfied by some performances.

For me other tracks are good... but I'm not in the band

Thanks for letting us have this recording, I love this band too, but a live show should keep it's integrity.
I understand wanting to re-record or remix tracks because they fluffed something recorded for a legitimate release ... but removing tracks out of vanity is just begging for controversy.

Thanks Cosmik, your contributions are numerous and interesting. I must admit, the censorship by the band, makes them look extremely bad. i certainly would not go to a show of a band that cannot stand behind their own performance, warts and all. It says volumes to us fans. Thank the band for setting us straight.

Yes, that's a hertz donut, but its nice to have a little taste anyway.
I will prefer the performance from the day before but that is my kind of clubhouse.
Thanks for all those tapes. They are really important to me more now that I don't get to go out so much. _________________ OW!

It's not silly, it's not censorship (!?), it's not vanity.
It's the artist's prerogative. Just respect that...they don't deserve to have their integrity questioned because they'd rather not have something out there.....

Yes, it's the artist's prerogative. If it were any other composer's work besides Zappa's they might have let the errors slide (if, indeed, there were errors, or just dissatisfaction with individual performances). Appreciating the various performances of these two wonderful groups of musicians as I do, I can well understand them wanting their performances of Zappa to be as superb as possible. Incomplete, or not, I'm downloading this gem. Thanks Cosmik, as always you manage to sprinkle fresh new Zappa into my day. _________________ Mind on a diet -- did you ever have a fat mind?
