Wildfisherman has kindly dug out one more master from FZ's early UK shows. Like other sources of the Bath Festival appearance, this is mediocre quality, but it could provide patches to
other versions (mainly in the opening, the banter before Little House and King Kong).

I believe this is running slightly fast, but in the interest of getting this out there it is not yet corrected.

No, definitely wasn't the same source.

I recorded it myself and it's sat in a box these last 40 years. I never gave anyone a copy and, anyway, the other guy has a clear memory of making his recording.

If they are similar it's probably the consequence of recording in an open air venue with primitive equipment. It wasn't that clear to listen to, let alone record.

Many thanks, Pat, for transferring it.

Just occurred to me - maybe the sound was rough partly because Frank was only over in Europe at that time for a few shows.

Presumably he hadn't brought all his own amplification over for such a short 'tour'. If he was working with hired stuff it may well have not delivered what he was used to.

I do remember he took a long time to set up. People (or maybe it was only me) were getting restive.
