**PLEASE DO NOT CONVERT AND DISTRIBUTE AS MP3.
**PLEASE PLAY LOUD AND ENJOY!!

As promised, here is the "RAW" tranfer! Just found my ticket and got it scanned for final proof of this being the early show. Included in torrent for verification.
WARNING: Now this really is a raw thing. One big file with no track indexes and gaps/no edits on the tape flips.
I'm hoping this will get the full Zappateers treatment and get uploaded to the official "Shows" tracker finally. Was it a mistake to go the whole nine yards with the 24 bit / 96khz transfer?
Probably, but that's what I get for opening my big mouth (fingers?)!!!

Without a doubt, I'm sure people are already working on it!

Absolutely not, better a 24/96 than some of the poorly done 16/44.1 downconversions we've suffered through!

winko Bluesdevil!

By the way - did you also tape the late show? Or does that one come courtesy of another Florida taper?

Thanks much! I can add the late show as Teasia sent his tape this way before he left. I transferred it, and need to get it back to him. I believe it is a first gen.

Glad to do it! Should have done a RAW version to begin with.
Sad to say I'm noticing some oxide flaking off the tape here and there..... check out "City of Tiny Lights" for the worst of it. Also can't believe I found that ticket stub after turning my place upside down in the last few months to find it.
No, I didn't attend the late show..... will be happy to hear that recording to see what I missed!!
Alright enjoy.... upward and onward Zappateers!!

That does not surprise me.

I remember my 1988 05 03 and 04 masters were 24/88 because of not paying attention at all what I was doing. Did it again and will seed proper 24/96 transfers after the summer. Must admit I'm loosing my interest in editing tapes. Maybe it's just the summer and interest in other stuff.

Yes, it's hard and boring as hell. I force myself. I did some last night.
I would leave the 24/88 some think this is actually preferable to 24/96 because less errors occur in the algorithm when downsampling being a multiple of 44, although it's 44.1 so why this thought? I don't know??

I don't recall sending you my Sunrise 84. I think it was Sunrise 80. I could be wrong as my memory is foggy on this. If i did send Sunrise 80 it's probably unknown gen. The first gen tape I sent I believe was either 3-25 or 3-26 1980. Take your time on getting it back to me. I'm in no rush. Thanks again for the offer to transfer.

Crying or Very sad
very sorry about this. I'm pretty sure I captured it correctly in 24/96, but may have missed something while exporting. Embarassed
Good news is I still have the raw Audacity data files on my drive and I'm exporting again right now to FLAC.
If one of the experts here can tell me how to test the newly finished FLAC or extracted WAV file for the bit depth and rate, I'll see about getting it back up with permission by a moderator.
Please PM me with the instructions, thank you kindly!

My wife and I went to both shows that night, and were reminiscing, so I went to try to find a recording...

Looks like only the Early show is available, but anyway... I am new to the torrent thing, but do now have a Torrent program. But I guess I just need to wait until someone seeds it?
