Yeah, you have probably grabbed this one before: http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=17715&spmode=full&dl=names

This here is the fixed version, well worth grabbing again. Wink

In other words, this is a speed corrected reseed of the original upload, which was found to be running somewhat fast even after initial speed correction. Download this again, it's a worthy fix. ~ZP

Available recordings according to FZShows:
1969 02 08 - Thee Image, Miami Beach, FL
60 min, Aud, B+/B
A.k.a 1968 03. Previously listed as 1969 03 ?? - but this should be the correct date.

My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama (instrumental), Lonely Lonely Nights, FZ chat with audience, The Orange County Lumber Truck Medley, Toads Of The Short Forest [part two - WRMF], All Night Long, Bacon Fat, Gregorian Chant, Little House I Used To Live In, Interlude, Pachuko Hop, Behind The Sun

This copy: 61.28 min, AUD 1st, B+/B

Lineage: AUD > ? > CASS/1 > Marantz Professional PMD510 tape deck to M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard >
WAV (Audacity software) > FLAC (Trader's Little Helper software) > wav (speed correction, edited, retracked) > flac level 6
Taped by: N/A
Ripped by: Bluesdevil
Speed Corrected by: Flambay
Edited by: The Bastard Son

The Mothers Of Invention, November 1968 - May 1969
FZ, Lowell George, Roy Estrada, Jimmy Carl Black, Art Tripp, Ian Underwood, Don Preston, Bunk Gardner, Motorhead Sherwood, Buzz Gardner.

Setlist:

01 My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama [04:07]
02 Improvisations [03:23]
03 Lonely Lonely Nights [03:07]
04 FZ chat with audience [08:43]
05 Let's Make The Water Turn Black [01:48]
06 Harry You're A Beast [00:52]
07 The Orange County Lumber Truck I [00:46]
08 Oh No [04:33]
09 The Orange County Lumber Truck II [06:56]
10 Improvisations (incl. part two of "Toads Of The Short Forest", WRMF) [05:34]
11 All Night Long [03:19] °°° tape flip 2:03, music missing
12 Bacon Fat [03:25]
13 Gregorian Chant [03:35] °°° cuts in and out, music missing
14 Little House I Used To Live In [02:05] °°° cuts in, music probably missing
15 Interlude [03:05]
16 Pachuko Hop [01:20]
17 Behind The Sun [04:50] °°° cuts out, music missing

To many of you this show will sound interesting because it contains material that appeared throughout "Weasels Ripped My Flesh". For example the second improvisation contains part two of "Toads Of The Short Forest" and as well the closing chord of "Prelude To The Afternoon Of A Sexually Aroused Gas Mask". The final chord of "Toads Of The Short Forest" is an edit and it's actually the ending of "All Night Long".
This show has been speed corrected by Flambay, retracked (I have intentionally decided to split "The Orange County Lumber Truck" medley because it is this way it was released on "Ahead Of Their Time") and I've edited the horrible sound of the pause button being pushed between tracks 12, 13, 14 and 15. The result is now much more enjoyable.

I originally seeded this on DIME recently, but would like to share here
too. This info file has been edited for the Zappateers tracker.
Thanks to Flambay for contacting me, who informed me this is in need of
speed correction... maybe someone here can work on it. This is a certified 1st
generation copy transfered to tape from master cassette myself. Tape is getting old
time to get it out there!!
Hope to have a surprise for everyone later if this goes well.
Enjoy and annoy,
Bluesdevil

This should probably be mentioned in the first post.

If only a site admin could do something about it... Very Happy

Wasn't meant as a jab against other site admins, I hope it didn't come across like that.

Honestly, this is not one of my favorite original MOI shows. Maybe it'll take a few more listens to really get "into". Excellent recording though, definitely no quibbles there, and even "just average" early MOI material is still, you know, early MOI material. thumbsup Just seems like they're playing it straight (well, relatively speaking) - makes for good album material, but give me a thirty minute King Kong any day Very Happy

It did totally, you can't fool us. Something about the audience that makes me laugh, so it is a fav. Oh yeah the music is good too. Yeah not the best, but any early Mothers as you say.
As far as my comments, I was kidding jeez, you guys really take yourselves way to serious. I give everybody a hard time especially my friends, sorry I can't help it. Smile Ha!
Yes ZP, I knew you were just ribbing them, heck you are admin!! So I was just giving it back to you. Also I must admit I don't put a smiley or anything just so you wonder....ha!! sorry again Smile Got you!

OK it's official I'm older then Frank ever was. Now that is strange and depressing. My wife said why do you think of such things? Hell I have no idea why? My first thought is well I have lived quite a while, so it wouldn't be a total loss if I left this place, but then again, I could have 30 more years, hell that's quite a long time. My father at my age went on to live 33 more years, and also died of prostate cancer. My dad was born in December, and died in December. So did Frank, and well guess what? I was born in December too. Guess I know what month I'll go!! My answer to my wife is how can I not think of such things? She just shook her head.
