I have two versions of this show

Source one: A master copy taped by Pat F.
Source two: A 1st gen copy taped by unknown.

Both are not bad. I have not compared to any other sources at all. What is sampled is start, and all breaks in tapes. Too numerous to mention. I had a chance to compare though A Sony conversion on a Sony 825S and a Nak CR-7A. To my surprise the Sony sounded damned good. I thought the Nak had a slight edge, it has a little bit more clarity, but it was so close I could only tell with multiple listens. I would suggest these decks as an alternative to a nak deck. You get a lot of bang for your buck with an 825S Sony.
The source two 1st gen is a fresh nak transfer. I no longer have the Pat F master tape, it was returned, this is from my 4 year old DVD disc where I stored the conversion I made in 2005

Text from 1st gen

This is probably the best example of this source so far (the first gen source). Only a master will beat it. No sign at all of the taper who is I believe in MN last time I talked to him. And of course the master is the best source for that one.

So far we have:
1) JS source master (have not heard)
2) 1st gen unknown taper (I have best copy IMHO)
3) PF source master (Also have this one) fyi this for sure was taped by pat, his voice is all over this making it not that desirable.
4) entmoot version? (needs to be compared to JS source, not the other two)

Thanks I need somebody to look and compare entmoot version to JS version. My copy of the JS version is buried in discs yet to be catalogged, it would take me an hour to find it. I plan on catalogging them, and then will know where it is. But if somebody could compare in the meantime?
Yeah it's best to compare 1st gens, we have found so many to be different. For Chicago 88, your first gens are superior (Rick Barnett's tapes) to my Barnett 1st gens. Shit happens...
I'm out on those ones. Yeah speaking of Chicago 88 shows, we have 2 full versions all from Doctor Zap, those can be done now. Two sources from each show. nothing else is coming.
