BTW, why use "lowest" compression? Flac level 5 or 6 are usually best compression/file size, lowest compression just means bigger files...

In such cases the Zappateers should ban those torrents from the tracker,
even if it's a so called "Liberated Boot".

My opinion! Twisted Evil

I hate this kind of thing, I have spooked people away with my rants on boots, so i will refrain, one thing we can do positive is update our copy to something better. The WIU2B copy is slightly noise reduced, so let's get another copy, maybe dump it to the showbox? And I will also pull out my 1st gen from Till. I think I have another source also. So we may have fills.
We have been doing some late 78 and 79 shows, so let's do this again too.

I understand what UniMuta is doing, trying to ensure that no-one has any possible reason to actually buy one of these things by making them freely available here, but I can't see why anyone would want to download something that is bit-for-bit the same as a show available on the Tracker that they have probably already downloaded.

Why not just torrent the artwork, so that anyone who has an interest in bootlegs can have a record of what some jerk has done with a concert recording he has ripped off from here, without having to download a bunch of files they already have.

I suppose the music could also be torrented separately, with a disclaimer pointing out that there was no need to take it because it was available not-commercially-tainted on the Tracker. It would be interesting to see how many people still felt they needed it.

That would be an interesting compromise, but is the effort justified?

I think there exist too many boots with same stuff here and there. hmm

I think that we should try and discover the source of these boots and them ban them from the tracker.

Would it be possible to put a tiny little digital signature somewhere in the torrent? I suppose it's a bit late now, but I would imagine there'd be a way of doing that and it could be something to consider for the future.
