Ok folks, here's my second seed (due to popular demand)
But before you guys read the info file, if anyone has this show, please tell me:
05/08/74 Edinboro State College

Anyway, On To The Info!

04-12-1971 Montreux Casino, Switzerland »
88 min, Aud, A/A- -

AKA Fire!

1. Intro,
2. Peaches En Regalia,
3. Tears Began To Fall,
She Painted Up Her Face,
Half A Dozen Provocative Squats,
4. Call Any Vegetable,
5. Anyway The Wind Blows,
6. Magdalena,
Dog Breath,
7. Sofa Suite,
8. Pound For A Brown,
Sleeping In A Jar,
9. Wonderful Wino,
Sharleena,
Cruisin' For Burgers,
10.King Kong (interrupted by fire)
11.FIRE!

This show had been circulating in various states under the names 'Swiss Cheese' and 'Fire!,' however,
'Swiss Cheese' was the complete show (although both of their covert artwork is in here for posterity). This
is the complete recording of the entire concert, from the lengthy and egotistic intro to the sounds
of the fire burning the casino and the band's equipment.Enjoy

Thanks so much.

If this is from a boot could you post so that it could be moved into the "Liberated Boots" section?

Thanks,
erroneous

HOLY SMOKE !
Well I guess we'll never know equipment was used, but in my opinion an "aud" recording seldom gets any better than this! His/hers seating must have been perfect; maybe picked up both the bands own acoustics and the P.A.? AND it's a rocking show,,, gotta love that "Magdalena",,, not to mention the "Peaches"... mmm yummy

Just as a matter of interest, in case you didn't know: Deep Purple made a song about this called "Smoke on the Water". Here's the lyrics:

We all came out to Montreux on the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile - We didn't have much time
Frank Zappa & the Mothers were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun burned the place to the ground

Smoke on the water - A fire in the sky
Smoke on the water

They burned down the gambling house - It died with an awful sound
Funky & Claude was running in and out, pulling kids out of the ground
When it all was over, we had to find another place
Swiss time was running out - It seemed that we would lose the race

Smoke on the water - A fire in the sky
Smoke on the water

We ended up at the Grand Hotel - It was empty, cold and bare
But with the Rolling Truck Stones Thing just outside making our music there
With a few red lights an' a few old beds, we made a place to sweat
No matter what we get out of this, I know... I know we'll never forget

Smoke on the water - A fire in the sky
Smoke on the water

Purple, like the color of my t-shirt (look left). For those of us that started out on the PC whith the wonderful colored world of CGA: purple looks a bit like magenta. Only deeper. So Deep Purple would be "Deep Deeper Magenta". Or something like that.
