"Welcome to Halloween Number One, 1977 !!" - FZ

Frank Zappa
Palladium
New York, NY

1977 10 28 Early Show

~~ from JS Master tape ~~

Complete with fills from alternate master (TFEC) and unknown gen (Yojimbo)

We're very happy to present this essential upgrade to our previous seed of this show, which had to be confined to the Bad Sources department for strong noise reduction.
This here is a new transfer of the original master to that NRed and CD-R sourced copy,
patched to complete with material from our alternate Master source, which we have received from TFEC, plus a tiny Yojimbo source patch in Wild Love which we had to include from our previous seed.
This Belew solo portion is missing in both JS and TFEC master copies.

Enjoy Bowling On Charen (aka "The Squirm") in its full, unedited and lossless splendor.
Man, what a solo !

There must have been something incredible in the municipal water supply in NYC back in fall '77 and '78. How else to explain the Chuck Norris-like awesomeness of those two Halloween runs?

Thanks for this great show, in probably the best sound we'll get until the Vault gets liberated!

Unfortunately this version is Mono.

what happens is this simple really

if you digitally clone one channel to make dual mono

flac knows it

but if you use analog methods

of worse yet y cable

you introduce some distortions possible phase problems. delays .offsets .ect ect.....

and if run through an analog eq same story

so you end up with a file that flac thinks is stereo

or as as I demonstrated with pg from 10-29-78 use a pseudo stero eq effect

make a mono recording seem stereo
