Besides this, I have that Boot named Bongo Fury In El Paso. I suppose it's from the same SBD source.

Yojimbo and I knew the trader who circulated this and we should both have copies from him. He was out of Atlanta if I remember correctly?

Yes, but located in Fayetteville, GA by the time we were trading.
The source for this show (a roadie) allegedly had tapes of many/all of the "Dick Barber SBDs" that were in much better shape than the tapes DB sold, but I don't think he ever let go of any other tapes than El Paso. If someone feels like digging into this, it would be great.

FA of Florentine sample shows some tweaking with this version,
compared to the enggopah version:
(blue line - BengoFury version,
green line - enggopah version)

First part of this version seems to have undergone even more EQ 'remastering':
(when comparing I'm Not Satified samples)

wav form of both versions showing some amplitude asymmetry,
plus Bengo version looks overmodulated (clipping), therefore sounding more distorted.
Also, comparing sonograms (SA) showing again the heavy EQ treatment on this version.

IMO we should go with the rawest possible version.

Improvisations (Incl. The Hook, q: Hall Of The Mountain King) ~~~ Sample 5 (Cut)

There is overlap material around this cut:
fades out during start of Advance Romance,
cuts back in during last portion of Improvisations

enggopah version seems intact there.

A Pound For A Brown ~~~ Sample 3 (Cut)

This looks a bit more tricky to deal with: despite the cut here, there is more missing around that spot in the enggopah version.

At about 0:45 into enggopah Pound sample there is a well hidden crossfade or razor cut edit,
with about 1.3secs of this Bengo version (after the cut) missing.

That means a fresh rip from one of us who have 2nd gen tapes - me, Drew, possibly doctorzap and/or pbuzby? Maybe we should sample our versions, to see if there's any difference between them?

We are going to have to go with Yojimbo's. I can only find a copy from him. I know I have a copy from the trader, but it is undocumented, and I cannot find it. I'm out.
