Peepers Part 1 (LP)
Peepers Parts 2 & 3 (2 LP)
Project-Object (LP/CD)
Moe's Vacation (picture LP)
Guitar Player - Live 1978 (CD)
Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Poughkeepsie, New York, 21-Sep-1978
Material from this concert has been issued on Peepers Part 1 (700 copies on Laughing Clown Records), Peepers Parts 2 & 3 (2 LP) (350 copies on Laughing Clown Records), Project-Object (3200 vinyl copies as Mud Shark MZ3604, and on CD as Archivo ARC CD 003 and Three Cool Cats TCC 046), Guitar Player - Live 1978 (Fire Power FP-0055) and in Europe as a picture disc called Moe's Vacation (200-copy edition).

Sound quality: SBD / FM Radio A-

Musicians: Frank Zappa, Denny Walley, Ike Willis, Arthur Barrow, Tommy Mars, Peter Wolf, Ed Mann and Vinnie Colaiuta

Peepers Part 1 has the following tracks:

1. The Deathless Horsie
2. Dancin' Fool
3. Easy Meat
4. Honey, Don't You Want a Man Like Me?
5. Keep It Greasey
6. Village of the Sun
7. The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing
8. City of Tiny Lights

Peepers Parts 2 & 3 has the following tracks, picking up where part one left off:

1. Instrumental [piano/keyboard solos, listed as "Prelude to Bobby Brown; may be composed in part by Peter Wolf]
2. Bobby Brown
3. Conehead
4. Moe's Vacation
5. The Black Page #2
6. Is This Guy Kidding or What? / I Have Been in You
7. Flakes
8. Magic Fingers
9. Don't Eat the Yellow Snow / Nanook Rubs It / Saint Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast / Father O'Blivion / Rollo
10. Little House I Used to Live in
11. Tell Me You Love Me
12. Yo' Mama
13. Black Napkins

Project-Object has the following tracks:

1. Instrumental [piano/keyboard solos, listed as "Prelude to Bobby Brown; may be composed in part by Peter Wolf]
2. Bobby Brown
3. Conehead
4. Moe's Vacation
5. I Have Been in You

6. Little House I Used to Live In
7. Tell Me You Love Me
8. Yo' Mama

They have also been issued as the first 8 tracks on In New York & San Francisco.

The Project-Obejct bootleg claims to be "phase two of Conceptual Continuity". It has a cover very similar to the Conceptual Continuity bootleg, and may have been made by the same people, but phase two of that bootleg is actually issued as Marvellous Stunner. Project-Object was released in 1980 (pressed in 3200 copies) and re-released on CD in 1991. The cover is a black & white insert. The disc has "Project Object" on it; the cover has "Project-Object". When Zappa wrote the phrase himself, he would write it "Project/Object".

The Moe's Vacation picture LP has the same track list as Project-Object. It's a colour picture LP, with a picture of a smiling Zappa from the You Are What You Is photo session. It says "Printed in Mexico" and "Promotional copy not for sale". It was pressed on poor-quality vinyl, which gets scratchy.

Guitar Player - Live 1978 has tracks 1-8 of Peepers Part 1 and 1-3 of Parts 2 & 3; 12 tracks in all ("Deathless Horsie" to "Conehead"). Tracks 1 and 11 listed as "instrumental" only. Front cover has a picture of Zappa standing with the Hendrix Strat.

The "instrumental" track from these bootlegs is some kind of piano/keyboard solo from "A Pound for a Brown on the Bus", some of which is probably compsed by Peter Wolf.
"Moe's Vacation" track is the early stages of "Mo & Herb's Vacation", a shorter version for drums, bass and marimba (exquisite!).
"I Have Been in You" has a long intro like the one on Stage #6, "Is This Guy Kidding or What".
"Little House I Used to Live In" is the orchestrated intro from "Little House I Used to Live in" followed by a vocal improvisation by Tommy Mars, a bit of a drum solo and a fade-out.

as always , I have avoided ANY modifications to the original tape recording.......this as the info notes state is one of my own, so a known lineage from the boot itself ,I have also made note to remove any officially available material.

NOTE:
Please be aware that during peak time (4pm~midnight GMT) there are restrictions on my ISP, rest of 24 hrs is free for all so patience appreciated.

Thank you
                                                                      thank you
                                                                                                                        and thankyou

Very Happy No worries there for a while yet......after all there are 12 months in a year...and i have to get stuff out before the dust/other things call a halt to it all.

So sit back and enjoy the ride @ least till the summer is underway.

I think overall a good idea to liberate these but as a collector not having the hard copy is a problem. The music alone is inferior in most cases to what is already on the tracker, and all we get is the music. The only interesting things about these is the covers. Again I think showing the bootleggers have little to offer. Even on the market it's not cool to sell these things. So they offer little as an investment incentive. I think they did serve a purpose to introduce a lot of people to audience recordings. But these days no, that does not happen. Sites like this are how people are introduced to audience recordings. I grabbed a few, but now I wonder why? Not like the music is good, when better quality of the same thing is a click away. I guess the pics is all I really want out of these, and probably all I will download from the torrent.

I absolutely, totaly agree with drew51...A friend of mine buys anything with Zappa written on it!!?!! So, he has the SAME concert (sometimes it's not even half the concert!) on about 6-7 different "bootlegs"and the sound never (or slightly) improves from one to another.. stupidMe .Just because the SLEEVE is different or it's a nice colorful digi-pack...That don't work for me. nono .I can make my own sleeves if I want to (and sometimes do)...I think the market on these bootlegs is down and it's a good thing too...If you really are interrested in Zappa, this community is the absolute BEST!!!!ROCK!!
THANX TO ALL ZAPPATEERS INVOLVED IN PROVIDING THIS WONDERFUL SITE AND A GREAT 2009 TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

Yep agreed Drew...and I'm the one getting 'em to you.....lol

Saying that , if indeed there is anyone left at all still attempting to sell these things, then I feel I,m putting a spanner in their works by getting them out to us all....no expense spared...lolol

Saying all that , there are indeed some boots that have the odd track that amazingly does not surface as a show part......wait until the rest arrive, all will be revealed.

Also quite to my amazement there are still quite a few people out there that enjoy the boots themselves.

Perhaps now the ahemmm..older of us collect the shows weve already forgotten where we began after we'd got all the official stuff.

Anywhichway, let us all let those that want them enjoy the ride . For 1 I'm pleased to finally let them go after so long. After all what's a few more torrenting days....and no cost to anyone, just time on my part.

cheers all

a PS added . Thinking on one of Drews comments thne unless any objections are made I can add the pics as a seperate posted reply if that saves some of you time. No worries though, they are still in the folder as youve already seen.
