Looks like an upgrade - the version I had didn't even comply with Zteers' naming standards...

Thanks for sharing! Nice to get a chance to jump in early every once in a while.

This will always stay the same. No updates on this one from a Detroit collector.
The NR'ed version should be presented, it is all that exists, the original is probably no good, and the taper is not active. We have to make an exception here. Blackpage has the lowest gen possible.

We all have one tape we wish we had back, this is blackpages tape he wishes he had back.

For myself I did a heavy NR of a Steve Vai Orchestral concert using the master tape, with plenty o' Zappa covers. I can no longer get the tape, the taper retired.
I never presented as all i have is a super heavy noise reduction version. Never seen another copy. Steve Vai and Orchestra Of Our Time w/ Thome.

Let's do it! Thanks for the clarification. I always wondered why this one was so elusive.

Thanks for the upgrade. Portsmouth is just 20 miles down the road so it's the nearest FZ played (though I didn't live here then headhammer ).

The taper at first didn't want me to post it, but he also promised to get the tape back to me, he never did. So with admins permission, I will once I find it...

Ask blackpage for the 69 show.

Blackpage secured this from the taper, had to put the tape in a new shell, made the transfer, and sent tape back. Never kept a raw version as at the time the NR seemed decent, how wrong we were... I did the same thing with the Vai tape. Again my argument for keeping raw as possible copies.
No other copies because the taper no longer even had a deck, I guess blackpage could try and get the tape again, but like me it is a rather embarrassing moment in our skills. All of us know better now, and I know you get that too Smile

The reason I never presented the Vai, is my blaring mistake is hard to avoid! Very embarrassing.

If Dan Aykroyd were to review my transfer, he would start the review with "Drew you ignorant slut!"

On this show right here, i have no idea why my old transfer was cut off at 21Khz? I wish I knew! Anyway a fresh transfer, and it sounds about the same, maybe a touch more from the Nak, but the Sony transfer was very decent too. This transfer also has the hum removed, which for sure makes it the one to get.
