from The Catalogue:
1978 08 ?? #1 - 35min A
on the tracker:
1978 08 00 R Culver City Los Angeles, CA 34.45 (jaypfunk) unknown/low generation
http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1717
- doesn't have filenames - seeded 2005-07-31
From FZ Shows:
1978 08 ?? #1
35 min, SBD, A
Sy Borg, Easy Meat, Tell Me You Love Me, The Black Page
Here:
exactly the same recording as jaypfunk (same begining, cut, etc...), not sure about the sound (better or not)
and it seems to be better in speed (less too speed as jaypfunk i think)
and the SA get a little bit more in high frequences (surely only noise)
Hoosac tape is labeled: (unknown generation, but low)
01 Sy Borg
-->2 samples (first and last)
02 Easy Meat
-->2 samples (first and last)
03 Tell Me You Love Me
-->2 samples (first and last)
04 The Black Page
-->2 samples (first and last)
Carefull:
all samples are normalised at 0db, but originals are nearly same as jaypfunk, with right level lower than left

The sound of this version is indeed very similar to jaypfunk's version.
Speed is closer to the "OK" line here:
s1-s6 only needing -20cts speed correction
s7-s8(Black Page): -30cts
Do we need samples from jpf's version,
or can everybody interested use the full seed version for comparison ?
Suggested speed correction on Jaypfunk's seed (all tracks): -50cts

Bump! Anyone with the ultimate and maybe more complete version of this? Just corrected speed on this just for Sy Borgs sake. _________________ 'Some of you might think this is weird . . .

The ultimate version of this would be from Tom Brown's tape. Drew? JayP's version is only one gen up from Tom's, so it would be a good option. My tape is from Jay. Hoosac92, if you're reading this, is it possible you got this from me?

Yes, and i do not have a copy from Tom. Hopefully one day he will send all this stuff, but we cannot wait for something that might or might not happen. Yeah I quit collecting for a few years after 1988. Seems Tom released most of these around that time, and when i got back into it, Tom was done. So I really only grabbed a few of the first ones he offered before 1988. I don't seem to have many left if any that have not been put up.
