Frank Zappa
National Exhibition Center
Birmingham, England
20-Apr 1988

~~ 1st gen Aud version (w. OSFA~MrUMRK fills) ~

Maybe not everyone's favourite of all versions sampled
because of the slight imbalance in the frequency spectrum here (too much high vs. too little bass),
but some did like the relative clear sound of this one, when discussing samples,
so here goes ... Enjoy !!

Another version or two may be following in the near future.

For a guy who is always late, it is good to be the first to thank the seeder!

Cool. I like this version. For those not in the samples process, EQ'ing in the bottom end helps this tape sound pretty damn good at higher volumes. tunes

Also looking forward to the near future alternates...thanks guys!

Kind regards,

Thankyou for this, been waiting 20yrs to hear the gig was my final live experience of FZ, enjoyed it so much that week back in '88....
Any idea if the synclavier music from the interval was taped, I doubt anyone was quick enough to realize that Frank left the synclavier playing on auto when he left the stage, from my memory there were lots of interesting tracks coming over the PA....never heard versions of various classics, I recall some parts of Uncle Meat, in a Jazz From Hell lots of other amazing sounds...I remember everyone around me getting up and going for beer in the interval, but I stayed put and listened the best I could....Hope someone out there has this music, but if not thought I'd just tell that little story.

All the best from a very happy Zappa nutt...

It is a project to locate the intermission Synclavier music from '88. Many of the tapes cut off shortly after FZ leaves the stage, but a few tapes include the Synclavier. I was surprised to discover a couple years ago that Put A Motor In Yourself appeared in the intermission in Boston Feb 20.

The show I SHOULD have seen....I'd just bought a Pink Floyd ticket after a 20 year wait to see them for the first time and was leaving the box office when I thought I'd check out who else was on tour in the window ?and saw Zappa tix for sale.I had, alas, no more cash, but vowed that I would see him the next time. Of course, there was no next time...
However,Now I can pretend I was there (just along the row from MonkeyDrummer) and imagine the thrill of thinking"Cool - Peaches! WTF? Stairway to Heaven? I Am The Walrus?Bolero? My Sharona?"
Thank You so much...
