some parts are a little overmodulated
sibilants (like fizzling sounds by speaking S or Z or adequate sounds)

A “mattatoio” in italian is a “slaughter house” and most people don’t realize now that Testaccio’s mattatoio was actually the main Roman slaughter-house and that the vacant dirt lot where Frank performed with his perfect ensemble was, not very long before (the ‘60s, early ‘70s), where the cattle were kept on their way to the last walk. We were sitting in the dirt. Some of us had been there since early afternoon for the priviledge to get a front “seat” in the dirt and to watch the rehearsals.
“Hello there, Rome… Welcome to the show tonight… in this ‘most lavishly aparted area’… We hope that you’ll be ‘comfortable’ during the show… because you’re gonna be here for at least two hours... So relax!”
Then the Music started...

Thanks to all tapers
Thanks to N-Lite for sharing the 1st gen tapes
Thanks to walk, karma and boguspomp for seeding the previous versions of this 1st gen recording
and to marcomat and Chunga's Revenge for the fills

Enjoy !!!

This could only be made here. No other site offers this kind of collaberation as Zappateers. Others try, but don't have the talent, or the resources. Great job here. This is very important stuff IMHO. Damn I wondered why you were so quiet! Even us Zappateers though have some challanging shows. Only one known copy, etc. Sometimes it takes us months to get to this point, but well worth it. Thanks again all for helping out here! One of my favorite tours. I asked about a year ago for more 82, and the last year has been flooded with 82 shows. Thanks all!

Frank reached new heights of sickness in his solos on the Europe '82 tour. All of the Italian shows from that summer, and probably the German ones as well, should be released as a giant CD box from the ZFT. Till that happens, though (& don't hold yer breath), this will do quite nicely. Great work once again, guys!

I agree with all the comments made about these shows in 82. I love the guitar solos! When I first heard the official release of The Mammy Anthem, I was blown away! A new guitar solo in the vein of DH or Treacherous Cretins. Frank I sure miss ya!
A big thanks to all who put the work in on piecing this together for us...and yes I agree with Drew, this is important stuff!
Looking forward to hearing this!
