The video section in this seed has been combined with the audio from this torrent: http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=11709 and is now available here: http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=11729

Most, if not all, will have seen this before in some form. But I had only seen a grainy B&W mpeg before this. It's the colour (albeit pretty washed-out) upgrade recently seeded by RareMusicVid at The Traders Den. I'll try and post a couple of screenshots.

Here's the info as it appears on Traders Den (thanks to faroba for the original link).

"This film came 2nd gen SVHS to me from the actual filmer - a woman, who filmed most of the Fillmore East shows in the 70's. Her 16mm film was transferred down to 2" video for a video project on Frank Zappa that never materialized. A trading buddy of mine knew her and got a copy on SVHS from her 2" master. I then got a SVHS copy in trade from him.

It has been rumored on some Zappa forums that this footage was stolen from Frank Zappa, then leaked into the trading circles - but that is untrue. I leaked this about 9 years ago into the video trading circles via snail mail trade worldwide to other Beatles collectors. Nothing was stolen - this comes 2nd gen SVHS from the owner of film."

Thx for sharing this gem from The Trader's Den.

I remember some disgusting audio dropouts, which urgently needed a fix. I hope that you tell us that audio is fine now.

Sorry cbfz55. I'm afraid I'm just seeding as is...I haven't tinkered with it and, yes, there are some drop-outs. But it was still a mammoth upgrade for me...

Taking the DVD files apart and syncing with fresh audio is probably one job too big for me.

I haven't got the world's fastest broadband connection so it might be a little while before I'm joined by any other seeders. Plus my wireless router has a habit of dropping the line overnight. So apologies in advance if things seem a little slow.

This looks great...thanks for bringing it over.

Makes you wonder whether any more of the show exists somewhere on film and this leaked only because of then Lennon aspect?

Many thanks for this, rampantbeast. It's a great step up from the old copy and further proof that there's nothing wrong with Yoko's "singing" that 3 or 4 guys with cricket bats couldn't fix.

This will be interesting. I do find watching this more compelling than listening to it.

Many thanks for this.
