1985 04 12 Kronos String Quartet - San Francisco CA, Herbst Theatre

In 1985, the Kronos String Quartet performed 'None Of The Above', a piece by Frank Zappa. Zappa had been commisioned to write a piece for the ensemble. At that time, the Kronos String Quartet consisted of:

* David Harrington: violin
* John Sherba: violin
* Hank Dutt: alto
* Juan Jeanrenaud: cello

This copy: Kronos String Quartet plays: 'None Of The Above' (frank zappa) = world premiere

Lineage:
AUD>unknown mics>cassette>(?)cassette TDK-SA90>Nakamichi DR-10>Terratec DMX6 Fire soundcard>Adobe Audition 1.5>slightly noise reduced -30 Db>Flac Frontend encoding level 5>FLAC

tape recorded: unknown
tape transferred: Notwhatitused2B

Enjoy!

As requested the world premiere of None Of The Above played by the Kronos String Quartet.
I've used a little noise reduction on this, but left the obligatory caugh for lovers of the 'classical music experience'

I think RC recorded this. Take that back, don't know? He recorded San Francisco Chamber Symphony in 84 at the same venue. Let's see...5-19-84. I believe they also cover some classical Zappa.
Hopefully this copy is better than mine. Which is not very good.

This not very good either, but since it's only 4 instruments it's listenable. Hard to rate this but a B+ is reasonable.
