Not digging the new interface, but it appears to be rocking and/or rolling otherwise.

UnRarX (Google search; it's free) will take care of the .rar files. Toast (from Roxio, $$ but worth it) will burn DVDs from the VIDEO_TS folder.

I've just tried to get one of these new fangled million piece r00 > r99 rar files using the CLI version on OSX ... it's not easy, it has to be installed .... and that leads the whacky lil program to join all the .r00's together in a directory of your choice (providing you have a basic knowledge of UNIX).

It's funny that someone would want to save a mb or two for an AVI file, but even funnier to do it with something totally unnecessary while the developer provides the only solution and produces only one platform's GUI for it and expects donations.

Can I call it stoopid? Idiotic? Without rhyme or reason? No need, it'll be fine in a few months when they are sick of answering emails ... Why do anything in a sensible way when you can make a pigs ear out of a simple but powerful compression utility and make the unpacking as difficult as possible unless you happen to enjoy doing everything the Bill Gates way.

Anyway, rant over: http://mkinne.com/2007/04/11/installing-rarlabss-rar-command-line-in-os-x/
is the easiest installation guide.

Very Happy

I was using it in Leopard before, so it hasn't changed for me Smile

I think that they have adjusted the maximum 50 peer connections and it seems to start seeding to new leechers as they join rather than waiting for the tracker to update. It seems to make contact faster too.

Just tried out Transmission 1.0, and it looks pretty good and simple to me. I might just stick with it.

Bit on Wheels hasn't been updated in ages, Azureus, despite some improvements, remains CPU hog... Transmission is a good choice IMHO Smile
