The "George Duke Demo" (a.k.a. "The Aura Will Prevail" Outtakes)

sometimes listed as 1974 or 1975, is currently claimed to be a 1972 recording.
Is this a mere guess? Is there any concrete clue to date this item?

Thanks in advance,

Paolo

The presence of Aynsley Dunbar and Alex Dmochowski--not to mention Tony Duran and Ilene Lauren Chunky Wood Rapaport--strongly suggests that the demo was recorded at sessions for Waka/Jawaka and Grand Wazoo.

So the horns are probably by Sal Marquez, Joel Peskin, and Mike Altschul.

And note that the George Duke demo of Uncle Remus is the source of the basic tracks for the version on Apostrophe.
