Unreleased, demos & weird stuff
Part one: 1963 - 1979

GO TO PART TWO

Here are listed all the video (with live audio) and audio materials that contain live or studio FZ performances not officially released and not fitting in the regular shows listing. Of course are only listed materials with unreleased music in it and not interviews, show footage without audio etc. Promos for albums, movies and shows are not listed. Tv and radio broadcasts from a single specific show are listed in the regular tour listings.
Even if not always easy due to the nature of most of these materials, I've tried to follow a chronological order.

Main sources: FZShows Unreleased, radio, and weird stuff, Román García Albertos' chronology and Videography, the zappa patio's son of the alt.fan.frank-zappa Bootleg FAQ, Jon Naurin and my own trading lists, what is appeared in the tracker itself, etcetera.
If you think there's something that should be included in this list, please send me a PM.

Late Fifties - early Sixties: pre-Mothers materials

* Another piece of history in Zappa trading is the famous Columbia (Capitol) YSA6477 test pressing which has one side devoted to pre-mothers material, but everything of this side has been officially released (sometimes with slighty different edits) in The Lost Episodes, so you don't need anymore the related boots.
Note: these materials are available in many boots..., on the tracker you can check also the 1971 08 XX David Walley-Frank Zappa Interview 102.07 Field recording (WIU2B-flambay): this interview is the main source for "The History And Collected Improvisations Of The Mothers Of Invention" materials, and also includes excerpts for the Run Home Slow soundtrack and a short vocal collage (unavailable on official releases and listed as "Studio Z Outtake: Memories Of El Monte" in FZShows) also temporary seeded as stand alone sample ( ... vocal collage 2.35 (Hoosac92-Kristoftof) Full sample).
