I haven't seen this mentioned so far in the thread, but I'd like to know. What's the story with the extra verse or two at the end of the rehearsal take of "Magic Fingers"? Is this related to "Slough My Throng" [http://globalia.net/donlope/fz/songs/Slough_My_Throng.html]? I've never heard it on a recording before. Does it exist on any shows we have here?

No. It's called "Soundly About The Tits And Buttocks". It comes from 200 Motels. The title appears in the list of musical numbers at the front of the shooting script, and the lyrics appear in the shooting script itself.

I don't think so. I haven't heard every single 1978 and 1980 performance of Magic Fingers, so I can't swear they didn't perform it once. But it seems highly unlikely.

Thank you ZFT for this release. The music is fantastic and the rubber gloves have proved very useful as of late.

if only the 88 band could have sounded like this....

You mean, if only FZ had stuck to doing the same thing for 15 years? Phew, I'm glad he didn't.

Yes. Although I will say, the '73 "Dickie's" blows away the '88 version. Even Keneally thought so when he heard the old version on the YCDTOSA sampler during the '88 tour.

it also sticks out as much less relevant than the other songs on Broadway.

Funny how some thing come back in style. The song is very relevant today, and the name swapped and sound just like intended with no problem.

Love the recent releases, btw.

70 on have really been amazing and the last 5 years a bit above that.
