Looks interesting, but damn, is that a cheesy cover.

That is what his hands look like when he's playing.

Seriously?? Wow, what a revelation. Maybe the corny typology is what his handwriting looks like, and the cheesy lighting is because he forgot to pay the energy bill?

Anyway, I heard a few tracks and I don't like it. It's well played and the renditions are in (ahem) "good taste", but it's, as FZ once put it, DRENCHED IN RUBATO.

A pianists' disease, I guess. Öberg manages to make Zappa sound like plain old piano jazz... Rolling Eyes

Has anyone seen a lossless download for this? Not really interested in a CD-R or (even worse) mp3's.

Only two legal options AFAIK.
CD directly from Hans, or MP3-320 files from CD Baby.

You still don't know that he is blind?

Yeah, I do. But I'm willing to bet that whoever designed the artwork isn't - they're just aesthetically inept. In fact, there are probably at least 50 people in this forum who could make a better cover in one or two visits to the toilet.

True. But I thought your sarcasm was a little over the top.

One of the reasons I keep coming back here is Yetanother's over the top sarcasm imslow

Maybe. Sorry if anyone got offended. But to be fair, there was nothing sarcastic about my first comment, said sarcasm was elicited by polydigm's arrogantly patronizing reply.

In all seriousness, I'd like to believe that, if Öberg himself had been able to see that artwork, he would never have approved it.

Anyway, it's odd to think that members of a forum dedicated to (of all things) Zappa would find any kind of sarcasm "over the top".
