I found this blurred list of musicians that appear as full orchestra on "Bogus Pomp" and "Lumpy Gravy". Smile

And I was comparing with these lists but it seems that some donīt match...

Those pages are based on conversations with the musicians so I suspect the info there is trustworthy. As with many gigs like this, in some cases some players who were originally set to perform dropped out and others subbed. Drdork or blackpage will probably comment further on this soon.

Yes, what Pat said.

I've corresponded with several of the musicians, including both of the contractors, Earle Dumler and Mike Altschul. Dumler is still active and asked around at sessions for the ones he didn't remember. Altschul said that Bill's list, Dumler's list, and Herbie's list all looked correct, that there was a lot of subbing going on.

We may never know exactly which players were at which concert or recording session.

Btw: The original information said that the above list was signed by 20 of 36 musicians.

The schedule:

Just a small note - I was at an Abnuceals rehearsal, and I talked to a viola player,
and he was a sub... He thought the music was a bit crazy...

Another small note, I was at the final night performance, and I'm pretty sure Ian Underwood
was not in the Orchestra... Him I would have remembered, as I'm a big fan...

That news item presumably refers to the rock band going on tour a couple of weeks later, who were lacking a full-time keyboard player at the time of the rehearsals heard on Joe's Camouflage.
