Thanks to all involved. I've always loved this tape.

A few notes:

According to Mark Volman, Bob Harris played second clarinet.

Mike Urso of Rare Earth, who subbed for Tom Fowler in November 1974, was there.

The title of the polka is the Clarinet Polka.

The band intro track includes a snippet of What Will This Evening Bring Me This Morning?

The radio station was CKGM-FM when the show was originally broadcast in July 1971. It became CHOM-FM in October 1971. This tape comes from a rebroadcast after the call letter change--hence you hear both the old and new call letters.

The Mothers had performed Daddy's Home as an encore earlier that night, according to someone who attended the 7/4/71 Montreal show.

Daddy's Home by Shep & The Limelites was a 1961 follow-up to A Thousand Miles Away by The Heartbeats from 1956. James Sheppard sang lead on both records.

In case anyone besides me was wondering about the song that FZ quotes in track 9 and Howard quotes in track 10

Don't Drop It was a country song written by Terry Fell, who recorded it in 1954. (The flip-side was Truck Driving Man, also written by Fell.)

The Blue Jays recorded a doo-wop version in 1955. The Blue Jays were actually The Squires, including Don Bowman [Harris] and Dewey Terry.
