Boy, is that tempting. My 88 fixation will never end. How could those prints NOT be worth keeping? I would love to see a really cool photo of Keneally and/or Thunes jamming. When the description included "...from the rehearsals...", I wonder if it was during the afternoon before the shows. (We all know what happened during the pre tour rehearsals without Frank...). I remember (I am pretty sure it was either Keneally or Thunes who said this...) that they would still be rehearsing when it was time for the show, so they would just walk off the stage... then walk back on for the show. They never stopped playing all day !!

Depending on how much anyone wants to take a gamble, almost every book they sell seems to end up at half-price at some point.

The photos on the site look like they are from the same session as the tour program photos (and the photos from the Guitar booklet) which are from the pre-tour rehearsals. Maybe FZ allowed a photographer in the soundcheck/rehearsals sometimes, we'll see.

I wonder if I am the only one who tried to search US amazon for "FZ88", only to realize it of course isn't there, but that, shit, amazon really does sell EVERYTHING.

This has not yet been the case with my two FZ titles for them. My Beatles book, however....

Thanks to all those who pre-ordered the book. It is indeed very expensive, but I hope you will find it very much worth it. It is on track for publication this coming Friday, and I can't wait to see and hold a copy myself!

Just to be clear, the book includes:
* an introduction that brings you up to date on the 88 bands' doings since my Zappa The Hard Way book;
* over 100 photos taken by Albonico during rehearsals;
* more than 50 'fan' photos from the tour (mostly from the collection of Ole Lysgaard, of Joe's Menage fame);
* an updated 88 discography;
* quotes from the principals that tell the tale of the tour;
* a brand new interview with Albonico specially conducted for this book (unlike the one on my website here http://www.idiotbastard.com/Interviews/SergioAlbonico.htm, this new one focusses on FZ and the 88 band); and
* the full interview Frank's former secretary Pauline Butcher conducted with FZ mid-tour.

It is strictly limited to 500 copies, so I hope all those that want a copy manage to get one.
